HOW TO RESERVE
Call the library at 715-425-0905. Meeting room reservations will only be accepted in person or by phone.
Users must complete a meeting room contract before using meeting rooms. Please request a form at the Reference Desk after scheduling your meeting, either in person at the library or by calling 715-425-0905.
All groups, whether governmental, for-profit or non-profit are invited to use the library's meeting rooms; however, no fees may be charged and no sales may be made when using the Library meeting rooms. Rooms may not be used by organizations for commercial purposes, or for private social events for individuals. Meetings held in the Library are considered public meetings, open to all wishing to attend.
MAIN LEVEL MEETING ROOMS
The library has two free public meeting rooms that community groups can use, the David M. Smith Main Level Meeting Room and the Board Room. The main level meeting rooms can be used for regularly scheduled meetings, but are generally limited to once a month for high demand times such as weekday evening and weekends.
In general, the Library allows groups to reserve the meeting room and board room on a first-come, first-serve basis but does reserve the right to make schedule adjustments according to the Library's needs. In case of conflict the following order of priority applies: (1) Library programs - which involve efforts of Library staff; (2) Local government meetings/programs - official meetings or programs of government agencies or departments. (3) Other groups not falling into the first two categories.
Groups whose members are under the age of eighteen must be accompanied by at least one adult chaperone for each fifteen participants.
LOWER LEVEL COMMUNITY ROOM AND GALLERY ROOM
The Kleinpell Lower Level Community Room and Gallery may be used by community groups.
At this time, the Community Room and Gallery may be reserved for a single date, a short series of meetings, or once a month for a regularly scheduled meeting in the evening. The Lower Level is not available to be rented for after hours use.
MEETING ROOM EQUIPMENT
The library has LCD projectors, a TV, and a DVD/VCR player for use in the meeting rooms.
The LCD projectors have HDMI and VGA video connections that are intended to be used with computers that have a HDMI or VGA video-out port. If you have a computer or device without an HDMI or VGA port, you will need to provide your own adapter to use the projectors. Most Mac computers and all iPads, tablets and smart phones will need an adapter.
If you have any questions about the meeting rooms, call the library at 715-425-0905.
