2026 Annual Meeting
January 28, 2026
Call to Order
In Attendance: Rita Kozak, Callie Trautmiller, Sarah Nelson, Linda Jacobson, Linda Vivoda-Sadee, Anna Zalusky, Patricia LaRuse, Mary Baumgartner, Theresa DeRusha, Tiffany Alexander, Library Board representative; Kay and Bill Montgomery.
Motion to approve minutes from the January 29, 2025, Annual Meeting:
Motion by Linda Jacobson, second by Sarah Nelson. MC
Report of Election Results (Linda Jacobson): All nominees listed on the ballot were elected.
Two-year terms—Callie Trautmiller, Anna Zalusky, Mary Torgerson
One year term—Patricia LaRue, Mary Baumgartner, Theresa DeRusha
Board Reorganization for Vice President and Secretary Positions:
Unanimous ballots were cast for Callie Trautmiller—Vice President; Patricia LaRue—Secretary
Treasurer’s Report (Sarah Nelson):
Notes provided to summarize the recent Foundation accounts
Membership Report (Linda Jacobson):
Many new members have contributed to the Foundation. A question was raised whether any donation more than $10 would be considered membership. This will be discussed at the February meeting. There are approximately 39 new Foundation members for 2026.
Library Director’s Report (Tanya Misselt):
Misselt reported that the 2026 annual library funding request was less than last year, due to a 2025 fund balance of $5,634.81. The 2026 funding request was $19,365.19. Motion by Callie Trautmiller, second by Mary Baumgartner to approve the $19,366.00 funding request. MC
Misselt requested that $950,000 be transferred from the Foundation’s Capital Campaign account to the library account at the City of River Falls. The funds will be used for stipulated renovations. Motion by Linda Vivoda-Sadee, second by Linda Jacobson. MC

The accomplishments of Board funding are summarized in the brochure which will be added to the Foundation web page.
