LOCAL HISTORY

The River Falls Public Library has a small local history collection that does include UWRF and River Falls High School yearbooks.  The main source for local history is the University Archives and the Area Research Center at the University of Wisconsin – River Falls, which has access to historical materials, local government records, manuscripts, and special collections from four northwestern Wisconsin counties: Burnett, Pierce, Polk, and Saint Croix.  Most genealogy and local history questions are best directed to:

Wisconsin Newspapers Digital Research Site is a service of the Wisconsin Newspaper Association. It provides access to the daily and weekly newspapers in Wisconsin, starting in 2005 to the present, with an embargo delay of 60 days. Wisconsin Newspapers Digital Research Site provides access to its 235 daily and weekly member-newspapers. Each addition is covered cover to cover in a PDF, searchable format.  Provided by Badgerlink.
