HOW TO REQUEST AN INTER-LIBRARY LOAN

If you want to check-out something that is not held in one of the MORE libraries, you may be able to request an inter-library loan.  Inter-library loans will come from a library outside of the MORE library consortium.  Inter-library loans will come from a Wisconsin library before coming from out-of-state location, even if it’s in a library just across the border in Minnesota.  Inter-library loans usually take 2-8 weeks to arrive.  Check out periods might be shorter and must be renewed by our inter-library loan staff.  Inter-library loans picked up at the River Falls Public Library must also be returned to River Falls Public Library.

WISCAT is Wisconsin’s statewide library catalog. Search hundreds of libraries throughout Wisconsin and request items not owned in MORE libraries. Not all items are available to be loaned, but we will do our best to find the material you need. If you cannot find what you are looking for in WISCAT, it does not mean we cannot get it for you.

When you find the item you want in WISCAT, click on the “Request This Item” button. Fill out the form. Fields in red are required.

RETURNING MATERIALS

Book drops are located on the Union (north) side of the building and and inside the library lobby.

Equipment and other large items such as book club kits, big books or storytime kits must be returned inside the library.

You can return most of your your River Falls Public Library materials at any MORE library and you can return most of your MORE library materials to the to River Falls.

LOST OR DAMAGED MATERIALS

The library charges a 100% replacement cost (original list price) for materials that are lost or damaged that are still in print.  There is a minimum of $10.00 will be charged for materials that are out of print.  We do not accept replacement copies for lost or damaged materials.

Other MORE libraries may have different lost/damaged materials policies.

PAYING BILLS

You can pay with cash or check in person at the library.  If you would like to pay with a credit card, please login to your account on the MORE Online Catalog.
