River Falls 250 Years Ago

River Falls 250 Years Ago explores what this region was like during the era of the American Revolution. While dramatic events were unfolding along the Atlantic seaboard, the St. Croix Valley was a landscape of prairies, oak savannas, rivers, and wetlands that had sustained Indigenous peoples for generations. The exhibit examines the people, places, and natural environment that shaped this region 250 years ago. It offers a chance to see River Falls not as a town, but as a landscape rich in history long before settlement and statehood. Available to view in the lower level display cases during open hours until March 2027.
